rsl_get_volume

This function returns a volume structure containing data for the requested field. if field ID is omitted, the first volume in the radar structure is returned. If no volume can be found for a given field ID, the function returns -1.

Syntax

volume = rsl_get_volume(radarstruct [, fieldID])

Inputs

radarstruct	a radar structure.
fieldID	can be either a string containing the radar field type, for example, 'DZ' (reflectivity), or a subscript of the volume array (0 to nvols-1). If omitted, the first volume in the radar structure is returned.

Example 1

Get the first volume in the radar structure.

    v = rsl_get_volume(radar)

This is equivalent to

    v = rsl_get_volume(radar, 0)

Example 2

Get the QC'ed Reflectivity volume, if it exists.

    v = rsl_get_volume(radar, 'cz')
    ; Make sure v is valid structure.
    if  n_tags(v) gt 0 then . . .

Example 3

Get the second volume in the radar structure.

    v = rsl_get_volume(radar, 1)
